That would explain why it doesn't work with [[System Menu 3.3]], and a drivechip would be required for a burned disc image to work. I don't think it's something that would be feasible to perform nowadays. Why aren't you using the Infobox for this article like is being used on all of the others? I can understand that it's somewhat different, but it's displayed inline with the other loaders and most of which have it (though they are a little outdated!) JD 14:15, 6 June 2008 (CEST)
HBC 1.0.6
Could someone upload 1.0.8 and 1.0.6 for testing purposes. Thanks! Randomdude 06:21, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
"DVD Method"
I noticed there is currently no information on this page about how the DVD method for installation is performed. Can somebody who is familiar add that? Hallowizer (talk) 06:39, 14 October 2020 (CEST)
- @Hallowizer: It looks like the Homebrew Channel was previously provided as a burnable disc image (it can be seen in an archived page but the download links don't work (and I couldn't find any working versions at this or this or on the live site)). It's presumably based on this template (which still is live), which looks like a fakesigned disc image that could be modified to launch something else. That would explain why it doesn't work with System Menu 3.3, and a drivechip would be required for a burned disc image to work. I don't think it's something that would be feasible to perform nowadays. (Addendum: it looks like the relevant tools for creating such an ISO are found in the github repo (e.g. injectdol.py)) --Pokechu22 (talk) 21:47, 3 November 2020 (CET)
Wuphax exploit/loader
Is Wuphax an exploit or loader? It’s at the boundary of being a loader, and it uses an exploit to replace the Mii channel internally.
